Jacob Liberman, the 7s Specialist Coach for the University of Texas Men's Rugby team, has directed the Longhorns' 7s program for a little over three years now. In that time, the boys in burnt orange have made three appearances at the CRC in Philadelphia and earned two berths at USA Rugby's College 7s National Championship tournament. That's a coaching resume few can boast (and Liberman is NOT one to boast about himself).
This weekend, the UT's 7s coach adds another, more exclusive, line onto that impressive resume as he assists Al Caravelli in coaching the Philippines' Volcanoes at the 2013 Rugby World Cup 7s in Moscow. Kudos to Jacob. He's worked hard to obtain entry to the relatively small club of the national teams coaching cadre.
