"Rugby is not just a game, it's a way of life..." A poem in the style of "Twas the night before Christmas" by Mele Kalikimaka
Who says there isn't rugby after High School or College?
Austin Blacks' Coach Lachlan Ferguson (who also coaches the St, Edward's University rugby team) presents the team he picked to start against HARC this weekend. On this team are several former collegiate players.
Most notably for me is Outside Center, Dave Goss, who played at Texas A&M while I was afforded the opportunity to coach them. Dave was primarily a Flanker/#8 at A&M, but played his first match at Outside Center against visiting Trinity College of the University of Toronto. He garnered a hat trick that day. I think he deserves the #13.
Honestly folks, if more men's & women's clubs posted social media videos featuring their players such as this one does, it would go a LONG way to the successful matriculation of HS & college ruggers into the senior ranks. Lach, thanks for producing this. Dynamo (Bill Taute), thanks for posting this on FB. Everyone else remember this: the number one motivator of people is recognition. Make it so!
BTW, the Blacks came back to defeat HARC today, 26-22.

Paul Holmes presents Tiger Rugby Fit's Complete Power/Speed workout. These three very fit ruggers were breathy after five minutes of demonstrating these exercises. If you are not out of breath, you're either not doing it right or you're a cyborg!
