The end of summer is near and with that comes freshman orientation at any number of universities. A smart college rugby club recruits at orientations. But how do you you get noticed? How do you stand out amongst the various and sundry student organizations that are also trying to get their attention?
Don't have $200-300 to spend on a great recruiting tool? Bug and pester your alumni. These guys can shell out such a small amount to help with your efforts to further the club!
Well, the Stephen F. Austin State University Rugby Club (SFA) has one very good answer. Banners. Really Big Banners.

SFA ordered these gems online from Vistaprint for about $170 each. The one on the right is obviously the one that they will use for recruiting and the left one for drawing people to matches on the weekends.
Old Maroon RFC (the Texas A&M Rugby Former Student club) had several banners made for their tailgating extravaganza at the USA v Ireland match. Gurrola Reprographics of Houston made several of the banner below for a reasonable fee!
